New today...

There are so many things that Wessy has started to do!

-He is getting really good at cruising.  Today he flew across his room holding onto the bed because he discovered that, excitingly, the glider in his room will swing back and forth if he rocks it.  I repeatedly took him away from the glider, put him at the other end of the room, and then let him make his way back there.
-He can hold onto things with just one hand and keep his balance, and he can really get up some speed.  Today he was standing between the couch and the coffee table with one hand on each and he tumbled backwards.  I thought he was going to fall but he actually held on with both of his hands and pulled himself back up to standing without missing a beat.
-He has started waving more.  In fact, it's harder to keep him from waving than to get him to wave.  He likes waving at people, but also trees and cars.  If he is particularly enthused, he will wave with both hands.
-He will say bye bye! Sometimes.
-He has started using baby sign language again a bit.  Today as I was trying to feed him baby food (spinach and such), he kept eyeing the blueberries on the table.  He turned his head away from the spinach, looked directly at the blueberries, squealed and smashed his hands together to say "more."  Then he banged on his highchair tray for emphasis.
-He loves perching on people's shoulders.  He likes to rule from on high.  He also likes to use his positional advantage to take your glasses off and pull your hair, or lick your head, depending on if you are mommy or daddy.
-He is only snuggly when sleepy or sleeping.  But when he is sleepy/sleeping, he is still the snuggliest little snuggle bunny ever.  He smells like buttermilk and will burrow into your chest.

Mommy says

Wessie, you're a cheap date. All I need is a bread crust and a garbage truck outside the window to impress you.
